Capital Improvement Committee                                                        December 6, 2008

Avian Glen HOA Board is looking for a five homeowners interested in joining the capital improvement committee.

The capital improvement committee was established to provide longevity guidance to the HOA board. We have found a gap in the capital improvement process. This gap is due to each of the five board members only holding a two-year term. Due to this two-year term either two or three board member positions rotate depending on the year. This leaves a hole in the long-term vision. The purpose of this committee is to carry the long term vision as board members rotate, assist with the legwork on capital improvement projects, provide suggestions, and offer guidance to the HOA board on long term capital improvement planning. We want to ensure our common areas either structures, hardscapes or greenscapes add value to the homeowners in the way of usage and property values. It is imperative that we the homeowners of Avian Glen have a forward thinking plan and actions that guarantee Avian Glen is viewed as the neighborhood of choice.

This committee is established under the guidance of our current by-laws. At this point we will consider this committee an informal committee. The committee members will report to the Treasurer of the Avian Glen HOA Board. At this time we have decided to not establish a term on the committee, since we are looking for a longevity vision.

Regardless of how long you have been a homeowner of Avian Glen. If you are interested in one of the committee member positions or would like more information please contact myself btpercy@sbcglobal.net or our property manager - Cindy Armour cindy@armourproperty.com
