Social Committee

The Social Committee is a group of Neighborhood volunteers led by an annually–elected Social Committee Co-Chairs and Treasurer. It’s a great way to build friendships and have fun!

Thanks to all who attended our Halloween party.  We had a huge turnout, and one of the warmest Halloweens we can remember.  Thank you so much to the Hoover's for hosting the party.  We know it is a lot to ask to have 100 people running around your back yard, and we really appreciate it.

Our next holiday event is Cookies With Santa, to be held on Saturday, December 6th, 10 am to noon, at Cherry Tree Elementary.  We are still in need of many volunteers to help with this party.  If you are able to help with set up, decorations, crafts, or bring cookies, please
contact Anne Lally at bklmommy@aol.com.

Also coming up is our annual Ladies Cookie Exchange.  Kim Kultgen will be hosting this years event on Thursday, December 18th, 7 pm, at her home, 5135 Oriole Drive.  Guests are asked to bring 3 dozen cookies, packaged in small bags of 6 cookies each, along with a small gift (under $10) for gift exchange.  Please RSVP to Kim at 581-9399, or kjkultgen@sbcglobal.net.

We would also like to thank those of you who attended our last Social Committee meeting. We had some new faces and some great ideas.  It looks like the "Ladies Night Out" will continue on a monthly basis.  Jennifer Clute has volunteered to be in charge of this event.  She will be in charge of the hosting shedule, so please contact her if you are interested!  The format is very simple.  The hostess will decide the theme, and how to run the event.  You can either provide all the food and drinks, and then have everyone pitch in a certain dollar amount to help cover the costs, or you can have people bring their own.  It is up to the hostess to decide.  For December,  the theme is "Champagne & Chocolate", and will be hosted by Debbie Kelly, 5071 Pelican Place, Wednesday, December 10th starting at 7:00 pm.  Please RSVP to Debbie at 574-9222 or 5821524 by Monday, December 8th.

As always, feel free to contact us with any fun ideas you may have.  We are always open to new things!
