Message from Carmel Police

The Carmel Police Department is investigating several thefts from vehicles that occurred in November and December of 2008.  The suspect is taking purses and using credit cards on Michigan Rd and Castleton Mall right after the thefts. There have been thefts at West Park, the Monon parking lot on 96th Street, and from the area of Meridian and 136th Street.
 
The suspect is driving an older, four door, maroon, Buick Lesabre. The paint (or clear coat) is pealing on the trunk and it had a paper tag (L294857) that expired on 12/1/08. The tag was reported stolen in Indianapolis by the owner.
